It is being organized by <a href="https://twitch.tv/twans">Twans</a> and is scheduled to run on <strong>Saturday, September 12th, 2026</strong>.</p> <p><img alt="image" loading="lazy" src="https://pilot.dance/img/accelerate-event-banner.png"> <p class="photo-caption">Drivers, start your engines.</p></p> <p>Bringing a StepManiaX tournament to the greater Chicago area following last year&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.start.gg/tournament/dash-dance/events">Dash Dance</a> event in Gurnee, Accelerate is also (to my knowledge) the first StepManiaX tournament to be formally hosted at a Dave and Busters location. Dave and Busters began to incorporate SMX into their arcade lineup three years ago beginning with a Des Moines, IA location and has since included a machine with <a href="https://x.com/i/status/1945131400954347600">all new locations opening worldwide</a>.</p>
